Which Headphones Are Better: Beats vs. Bose

For those of us who have not yet succumbed to the AirPods fad, information on the best earphones can be a bit hard to come by. Most of us know that Bose and Beats are two of the premium headphones brands. But how do they compare? Both leading brands feature superior sound-control features, ergonomic design and durability. However, making a choice between these brands is not easy.

BeatsX Wireless In-Ear Headphones

Even audiophiles have difficulty saying no to Beats’ unique and stylish design. BeatsX wireless in-ear headphones are the first Beats product I ever purchased. It is ideal for gym rats like me. With the Fast Fuel feature, I can enjoy 2 hours of playback from a 5-minute charge. After a full charge, it lasts up to 8 hours. The RemoteTalk feature allows me to play music, take calls with the built-in mic, adjust volume and even activate Siri. You will find no issue connecting it to any device via Bluetooth. My previous earphones fell out a lot because the ear tips were too either too big or too small. The BeatsX solves that problem by including ear tips of four different sizes. This set offers personalized comfort with the Flex-Form cable (that also serves as a defense against losing the individual buds). Because Beats is an Apple-owned brand, they charge with a lightning cable, which is extremely convenient.

Bose QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones

To be honest, Bose was not my first choice when shopping for earphones; as you can tell from the picture above, they certainly would not be considered fashionable. (Maybe Bose’s design team is too busy focusing on the speaker sunglasses). However, I finally gave the Bose QuietComfort 20 a try and was very glad I did. The noise cancellation technology alone is worth it, impressively diminishing any surrounding distractions. I also have the option to activate Aware mode to hear what’s happening around me –crossing busy streets or listening for airline announcements. I may switch easily between calls and music with the inline microphone and remote. The Bose Active EQ and TriPort technology offer a lifelike and digital-quality sound. I do not have to worry about the ear tips falling off because the Proprietary StayHear+ tips create a soft, secure fit. The cone shape offers maximum comfort by spreading contact evenly and provides a gentle seal for full-spectrum noise reduction.

Overall, the BeatsX feature long battery life, excellent design and style, and snug fit. The con is the audio quality may not be the best. The QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones feature excellent noise-canceling technology and awesome audio quality. The con is the style leaves something to be desired. Even though the comfort and audio quality are subjective (or perhaps because of this), I would have to choose Bose over Beats.
