This Silly Little Portable Fan Makes Summer Bearable

Published

The first day of summer may technically be June 20, but it certainly already feels like summer here in North Carolina. Then again, if you’re a true North Carolinian you know good and well that just because it is 90 degrees today, doesn’t mean it can’t be 50 degrees tomorrow. Be that as it may, summer is in the air, and the heat is coming.

Now, regardless of how much you may love summer, I think we can all agree that sometimes it gets just a little too hot, even to the point when it’s unbearable. It is during these scorching hot months that we all become a little more thankful for the invention of air conditioning. That is, until your AC decides to stop working, leaving you grumpy, hopeless, and completely drenched in a pool of your own sweat. Two years ago, I was moving into a new house in the peak heat of summer, and to my very unpleasant surprise, the AC hadn’t yet been turned on. I don’t think I have to finish that story for you all to know how that turned out. Fast-forward to a year later when it was time to pack up and move out, and my bad fortune struck again: The AC stopped working. Only this time, I was prepared. With the Anglink Hands Free Portable Neck Fan around my neck, I was able to survive the gruesomeness of packing up my entire life in my house-sized oven.

If your first instinct was to laugh, mine was too. So go right ahead, but keep reading. This portable neck fan happens to be another ingeniously minimalistic product on the market that doesn’t get the credit it deserves. It’s a fan, so don’t expect it to do anything other than what a fan does: Cool you down. What makes it such a genius idea then? Well, it’s portable, that’s what. You can wear it around the house, you can wear it on a walk, you can wear it at work, you can wear it laying by the pool or laying on the beach. I mean, you can literally wear it just about anywhere (except for in water of course), and it is going to help keep you cool. With fan heads designed to rotate 360 degrees and the ability to power at three different speeds, this comfortable, lightweight fan is made suitable for everyone.

For some added flair, the fan is equipped with LED lights, which are not only fun to look at, but also make you visible to drivers if you are someone who enjoys a late-night walk. Get this: You can even put it around your dog’s neck if you wanted to. We all know as humans how hot we can get outside, but imagine being a dog completely covered in hair. That’s not to say they still won’t get hot, but the fan will help them stay cool long enough for them to enjoy their favorite outdoor activities. Good luck coming up with an excuse not to walk your dog now.

Like I said, genius.
