In my opinion, the true utility of this little sponge dish comes from its second selling point. Whenever you are washing dishes or cleaning the area in and around your kitchen sink, you need to squirt soap on the target area before you can scrub it with the sponge. Unless you are a robot, there is no real way to do this with any measure of consistency—you often end up with either too much or too little soap. This tiny soap bucket takes care of that for you. Simply press down on it with the sponge, and it immediately douses the sponge with the perfect amount of soap.
