Happy National Margarita Day!
Today, February 22, is National Margarita Day. Why a holiday celebrating the quintessential summer beverage happens to fall in the dead of winter is a mystery to me. Presumably, some marketing folks somewhere figured they didn’t need the help of a made-up celebration to sell more margaritas during the summer. All across the country, workers that are back in the office are eagerly awaiting Happy Hour so they can visit their local Mexican joint. But you can enjoy National Margarita Day from the comfort of your home office. You do, however, need margarita ingredients (or at the very least pre-made margarita mix plus tequila), as well as margarita glasses.
If your home bar does not have margarita glasses, today is the perfect day to fix that. The classic glassware brand Libbey has a really cool 6-set of fun margarita glasses available for under $40:
